Check out the participation of our partner Renata Simon in an article in The Shift about the increase in Venture Debt operations, financing that represents an alternative for startups in the face of the sharp reduction in Venture Capital investments.

For the investee it is the possibility to stretch the runway without the obligation of a new shareholder dilution. It doesn’t gain a new partner, it gains a creditor. The investee, on the other hand, looks at the possibility of a higher return over a shorter term: about two to three years. Five, at most.
