One of the changes proposed by the PEC of “Precatórios” is that companies and individuals may use federal precatórios to settle debts with the government itself. Candido Martins partner Tatiana Del Giudice Cappa Chiaradia talked about it with UOL reporter Fabrício de Castro.

Our specialist explains that the PEC wants to establish a limit for payments of precatórios during the year. When this limit is exceeded, instead of receiving the money, the creditor will have the possibility of settling debts in installments and registered in the active debt. Although there are already discussions, Tatiana says that there has never been a law authorizing this.
