With the changes suggested by the PEC of the Precatórios, the time for payment to creditors will be even more uncertain. The specialist at Candido Martins explains that the journey of a lawsuit in court until it becomes a writ of payment can take many years.

“If the PEC applies to precatórios already issued this year, the constitutionality of the proposal will be discussed in court because of the vested rights of those who should receive it next year,” says Tatiana.
