What are the prospects for Brazil in the coming years?

Our partners Renata Simon and Mateus Lopes da Silva Leite discussed this question at the ABVCAP 2022 Congress, held this week in Rio de Janeiro.

With many uncertainties regarding the external scenario (still high inflation, the prospect of rising interest rates and the fragility of global supply chains) Brazil is being perceived by foreign investors as an attractive destination for allocation of funds among emerging countries.

This scenario represents a unique opportunity for infrastructure, health, education and technology projects.

However, the materialization of this perspective depends on addressing persistent domestic problems: fiscal discipline, optimization of public investments, progress in structural reforms, continuity of environmental policies, and increased productivity.

With the homework done, Brazil and its private equity market present promising prospects for the coming years.
