Appointments at Tupy show the government’s stance on councils

In an article published in Valor Econômico, our lawyer Gustavo Chamadoiro commented on the government’s participation in company boards.

At the time, he explained that the government has the right guaranteed by law to appoint board members and directors in its investments, but should be more cautious about the impact of political appointments on company shares. “The state has the right to appoint, but how the market sees this is another matter.”
