CM Book Club!

At its last meeting, the CM Book Club discussed “O que é meu” by Jose Henrique Bortoluci, published by the prestigious Editora Fósforo. The book is a moving biographical and sociological essay, with the non-trivial mission of narrating the “life of an ordinary man”.

Bortoluci draws on interviews with his father – Seu “Didi” – who was a truck driver for fifty years. He retraces the recent history of the country and his own family. It recounts the public and the private, the past and the present, private and universal anxieties. We recommend reading it!
