The important trial regarding the exclusion of ISS from the PIS and Cofins tax base was withdrawn from the virtual plenary session, with the request for a highlight submitted by STF Chief Justice Luiz Fux.

In an interview for Valor Econômico, our partner Tatiana Del Giudice Cappa Chiaradia commented on the case, which may have an impact of up to R$ 32.3 billion for the Federal Government. This is one of the “child theses” that gained prominence with the exclusion of ICMS from the calculation basis of PIS and Cofins.
